Due to the frequent chanting of the Hare Krsna maha mantra on the streets and city squares all over the world and appearance of devotees in films and musicals, such as Hair, the Hare Krsna maha mantra has become a familiar term in households all over the world. Thus devotees are often being named “Hare Krsna’s” and the ISKCON as an institution itself the Hare Krsna movement.
