Every year, for the last 15 years there is a music festival hold in Hungary on an island in the middle of the capital Budapest. By now it become the biggest and longest music festival in Europe, with 350.000 participants during the one week festival period. There are people coming from all over the world especially from England, France, Germany, and from all other European countries. Budapest temple devotees, go out every year. We have a tent with a stage where we give talks and do bhajana.

For the past 3 years the number of foreign visitors increased incredibly. Almost 70% of the festival participants are from abroad. On our stage all the talks and lectures have to be translated into English. This festival is a very good field for preaching, since participants are most likely between the age of 18-30. Unfortunately, we do not have too many devotees to go to the festival and preach to these people in their own language, not to mention that we are unable to do follow up and to keep in touch with them. It is a shame, since most of them are very open minded and receptive.

Therefore we would like to invite anyone, who is interested in preaching. You can send as many devotees as you would like from your temple and congregation to collect contacts and to preach to people from your own country.

This year the festival will be hold from the 12th to the 18th of August.

What we can provide is transportation from and to the Budapest airport, accommodation and prasadam for the whole week.

What is needed is mostly enthusiasm. What you have to provide is a plane ticket and about 100 Euros for the festival ticket.

For more details of the festival you can visit:

I am looking forward to hearing from you. Please let me know as soon as possible how many devotees can we expect, because the earlier we buy the ticket the cheaper it is.
