Invitation letter from Sacinandana Swami:

Dear devotees, dear friends
Please accept my best wishes. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

It is my special pleasure to invite you again to our yearly Japa and Kirtan retreat in Radhadesh.

All of us have experienced how environment and atmosphere can influence our chanting significantly. In a strong devotional atmosphere we feel uplifted and empowered and in a non-devotional atmosphere often disturbed. This year we will learn to chant in an Vrindavan atmosphere.

In Srila Rupa Goswami's guidebook "Nectar of Instruction" he mentions that the essence of all spiritual advice consists of absorbing oneself into the name and personality of the Lord while residing in the atmosphere of Vrindavan. (Text 8)

At first glance this may sound impractical because most of us don't live in India. However at second glance we learn that if one can not live permanently in Vrindavana, one should be there in his/her own mind. How to do so is a very profound practice!

What else to expect?

We will also go through the basic teachings for good japa and kirtan, like how to chant free from offenses, how to develop full attention, etc. These and other skills will be taught in our practical workshops each forenoon.

In addition we will have group japa, free time and lots of kirtan and Krishna katha.

I will feel very honored if you come in big numbers and allow us to serve you again.

Wishing you all the best and lots of spiritual strength
Sacinandana Swami
