On Monday, December 19th, in Tomsk, Russia, a historic court case is taking place. Some of our movement's detractors are making a major court case, attempting to establish that Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad Gita As It Is is is "extremist literature" and on these grounds have it banned throughout the country. The implications for ISKCON in Russia and even in the former USSR are far reaching.
If the devotees lose this case all Srila Prabhupada's books may be banned because they are full of quotations from the Gita. Seeing all of our activities are based on Bhagavad Gita it could conceivably lead to attempts to close our movement in some places.

*Today We Have the Power: Spirituality and the Seattle WTO Protests* is about to be launched and our first events are a couple of sneak preview screenings at a theater in Seattle to commemorate the anniversary of the event. Please help us promote this event by spreading the word with any contacts you have in Seattle! Or pre-order a DVD on our website if you haven't already through the kickstarter campaign. It is incredibly difficult for a film to break through these days so all everyone's help is greatly needed and appreciated! All the information is below.

This is to inform you that the next farm conference will be held in New
Vrajamandala Farm Spain (near Madrid) on the 7th, 8th and 9th of May 2012.

Ministry of education established a college with a number of students taking
courses on theology and varnasrama subjects.

Worldwide, friends of Krishna are studying Vedic writings, and although most are eager to study systematically, they're not always able to spend a few months to relocate and take the courses in a classroom setting.

Since I joined the Hare Krishna Movement, in 1973, I had cultivated the desire to offer a few songs in praise of my Spiritual Master A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
Actually one of the songs had been written right at the time of my joining the Movement, but for nearly four decades I practically did not have the time or the concentration to practice or do anything in relation to music.
A short while ago, realizing that my body is nearly 60 years old, and that my senses will soon become too weak to do anything, I resolved to try to put something down, and here is the result.
For the recording I just used GarageBand and very simple instruments, and I sung and played two or three times at the most for each song.
The devotees of the Lord are very merciful, though, and they can extract the nectar of rememberance of Srila Prabhupada’s Lotus Feet even from an however mediocre performance like mine. Thank you.

Dear sweet devotees,
By the grace of our long-nailed and short-tempered Lord, on this all auspicious day of Narasimha Caturdasi our www.gorangacamp.com site is launched (working properly).
Our sweet/sacred Goranga camp will again gather all those who seek after something. In the linden grove temporarily inhabited by wonderful seekers, one may find what is long forgotten, what is recently dreamt of, or what was not at all planed. There will be many temptations and the strong ones will be tested severely. Those who seek the sweet taste of the Absolute, could easily be tricked by the sweet taste that come from our forest kitchen, for example.

Dear Devotees,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
During our last ELM conference a presentation was made on Child Protection in regard to the book "My Karma, My Fault" published by an european ex- gurukuli, who was physically, psychological, and sexually abused in ISKCON schools and communities.
During this discussion, it was emphasized the importance of creating awareness and educating leaders, teachers, community members, parents, and children on this matter, in order to prevent to the best of our ability future cases of abuse. As the saying it goes, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

Dear Devotees
Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada.
It is with great sadness that I am announcing the passing away from Sadanandi Devi Dasi.
For more than ten years she was totally dedicated to her secretary service to Srila Sacinandana Swami. Since few years already her health was seriously deteriorating.
Today Srila Sacinandana Swami was singing for her during the entire day and this evening I came to replace him for this service. After chanting Hare Krsna Maha mantra for few hours, we started to sing the glorification of her deities with the melody of Srila Prabhupada (like we usually do at the end of our kirtan). At that time Sadanandi's breathing became extremely peaceful and she open her eyes before giving her last breath.
Thank you for all your prayers and support to this wonderful and exemplary Vaisnavi.
Your servants from Gaura-bhavan.

If it were up to the summer campers, it would stay summer all year long! Last year, BhaktivedantaCollege hosted a summer camp in June and July with great success. Many youth left transformed, enlivened, and with warm feelings for their summer home.
This year the camp will be held three times to allow for more young people to attend and experience the spiritual community of Radhadesh in the Belgian countryside. Activities, workshops, events, and visiting senior devotees will be featured at the camp, promising a fun-filled time with friends in a spiritual atmosphere.
The summer camp is run and managed by the Bhaktivedanta College faculty and students as a scholarship fund-raising program. Students are mentors and organizers for the international group of campers, and in turn they receive scholarship money for their college fees. Mentors bring a variety of skills to the camp from their previous work experiences and their hobbies.

Hear them share their experiences of the college so far--some are sad of finishing their third year, others enjoying the prasad, kirtan, and devotee association--but all the same are happy with their studying and stay in the Radhadesh community.

Would be nice if we could at least to some degree coordinate our camps, festivals etc in year 2011. Many guest speakers and participants would like to be on many festivals and if the festivals are at the same time that gets complicated.
I hope the list of receivers is complete.

Dear Disciples and Followers of Sripada BV Narayana Maharaja, Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga.
We, the Executive Committee of ISKCON's Governing Body Commission, wish to hereby express our bereavement on hearing of the passing of Sripada Narayana Maharaja.
As a disciple of His Divine Grace Bhaktiprajnana Kesava Gosvami Maharaja, the Godbrother and sannyasa guru of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acarya of ISKCON, Sripada Narayana Maharaja had been a long time acquaintance of our Srila Prabhupada. He assisted him in his early days in the United States, assistance for which Srila Prabhupada expressed his appreciation.
At this time we remember Narayana Maharaja as a dedicated and powerful preacher. He traveled around the world to deliver the message of Srimad Bhagavatam and spread Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission. He also translated important Vaisnava texts.
Sripada Narayana Maharaja lived a long and fruitful life in devotional service and was an inspiration to many. We pray the Lord will give comfort to his disciples and followers in this difficult time.
